Registrations for the 08-09 school year are now open for all members of Peace Lutheran Church and families that are presently have children enrolled or have had children enrolled at Peace Lutheran Preschool. Others may send in their registrations, but they will be held until March 1st when the classes will be open to the community.
Please read through the following before you complete your registration form. Teachers have made these recommendations for a successful preschool experience for your child.
*Children enrolled in the 3/4 year old classes should not be going to kindergarten during the 09-10 school year. This class is designed for children who will attend at least one more year of preschool.
*It is advised that children whose 4th birthday is in September and October, 2008 enroll in a 3/4 year old class even though they are eligible for either a 3/4 or 4/5 year old class.
*Children enrolling in the 4/5 year old classes may or may not be going to kindergarten during the 09-10 school year.
*The 4-day 4/5 year old class was designed for older students who are not eligible for the 5 year old class. Children who are having their 5th birthday between July 1 and December 31, 2008 will be placed in one class. Due to high interest, during the 08-09 year another grouping will be offered for children who have thier 5th birthday between January 1 and June 30, 2009. Children's whose 5th birthdays are after July 1, 2009 should enroll in a two- or three-day 4/5 year old class.
*Children enrolling in the 5 day 5 year old class MUST be 5 year olds by October 15, 2008. For children to be most successful in the 5 day program it is designed for students who have been previously enrolled in a 4/5 year old class. Children who have been in the 3/4 year old class should be enrolled in a 4/5 year class as noted even though they will be 5 by the cut-off date.
