Our vision is also impacted by the research of George Barna. Did you know that…

1) Knowledge of scripture isat an all time low?,

2) Our culture no longer embraces God’s law?,

3) The life and values of Christian teensand adults are often indistinguishable from the world’s life values?, and

4) American families don’t realizetheir power and influence. In fact, the church can preach and teach all it wants, but it won’t stick unless thingsare backed up and lived out in the home.

When children talk about faith with their parents, have family devotions and do family projects to help and serveothers, their faith flourishes. Fathers actually possess the biggest influence on a child’s faith development.

God’s Word is clear that the home is to be the primary place for faith to be formed in the hearts and lives ofchildren. We at Peace Lutheran Church see ourselves as teammates with you in this crucial role. In any waywe can, we want to help equip you, as parents, with faith-filled parenting skills so that your home can be aplace for faith growth for both you and your children.

Our goal is to be a Home Centered, Church supported congregation. You as the parent are the SINGLE MOSTIMPORTANT FACTOR in your child’s faith development.

Peace wants to ensure that each home has the opportunity to know and live out God’s will, creating a placewhere God’s love abounds for all who live there and enable the faith to be passed on from one generation tothe next, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our vision is derived from the Bible -
