Our primary Children's Ministry is our weekly Sunday School program, geared for children ages two through 8th grade. Through lessons, music, and crafts, we seek to teach children Bible characters and stories. We strive to explain Biblical truths and help the children apply them to relationships in their own lives.

All children preschool age thru 6th grade meet together in the Life Center for Sunday School Opening.  We sing and dance to fun Christian Music, and recognize Birthdays and Visitors.  Every Visitor, every child that brought a visitor and children celebrating birthdays will get to write their name on a Ping Pong Ball and put it in the Bingo Machine.  We'll turn the machine on and let the balls dance around and then shoot all the balls out.  The first ping pong ball to come out is our "big" winner for the day.  When Sunday school is over, all children with a ping pong ball will take the balls to the Sunday School Counter and pick out a prize.

2 year olds and Parents start Sunday School in the classroom as well as 7th and 8th graders.

Offering is collected at the beginning of Sunday School.  Our offerings this year are being given to the "Backpack" Ministry.  This Ministry fills backpacks with enough food to feed a Grand Island Student over the weekend- who would otherwise not eat another meal until Breakfast at school on Monday morning.  All students have been given a mini backpack to collect their spare change in and then when they get to church they can dump it into a big backpack.  It costs approximately $1.00 to fill one backpack.  For more information on the Backpack Ministry or how you can help out, send an e-mail to sprobasco@peacelutherangi.org
