Sweat Equity opportunities...

The project is almost DONE!!!  Below are some items we need to finish up this weekend in case you are available January 28 (Saturday) or January 29 (Sunday afternoon).   Contact Pastor Reiners (380-8145) or DCE Carl Eliason (380-4271) for additional clarification.

 

Information on upcoming Sweat Equity Opportunities:

 Sweat Equity Jobs from 2/3-2/5

Sweat Equity Punch List – things we need to finish up with on the building expansion.  Check off completed items on master list on coffee bar.  There will probably be more, but this is the first crack at it.

—        HIGH PRIORITY – clean windows and frames in west addition this weekend so glass company can oil and polish metal work on Monday

—        Touch up paint over door frame in main entrance vestibule, at least 2 places

—        In main lobby area outside entrance to Life Center

—        Clean walls by registers

—        Caulk around both sides of metal door frames going into the Life Center with dark brown caulking

—        Touch up paint around radius and bulkhead in coffee bar area

—        Caulk sheetrock to brick wall in hallway outside fellowship hall kitchen

—        In hallway to Carl and Sherri’s offices by coffee bar

—        Caulk around blocked out window in hallway by Carl and Sherri’s office (white)

—        Caulk joint between block walls and sheetrock walls in same area (white)

—        Touch up paint over caulking and as needed in this area

—        Install metal door with hardware to exit for future preschool playground location

—        Paint outside metal around above metal door

—        Caulk around above metal door

—        Install rubber door silencers as needed in all new metal frame doorways

—        Touch up paint around drinking fountain by bathrooms across from Life Center kitchen

—        Touch up paint above door frame of new northeast classroom

—        Touch up paint over all drywall repair work throughout addition (nail pops, expansion joints, etc.)

—        Patch holes by partitions to wall in new women’s restroom and paint

—        Fix cove base in handicap stall in new men’s bathroom

—        Install shims in hinge plates of door into back (northeast) corridor to Life Center

—        Install all four closet doors in above hallway

—        Stain and polyurethane oak cap and trim at sound booth.

—        Replace electric receptacle in southwest corner  Life Center with new brown receptacle and plate

—        Spray paint tan and reinstall cages over three remaining security lights on south wall of Life Center

—        Install floor doorstops for Life Center storage room and storage room behind reception desk

 

Other Items

—        Remove all construction debris to trash, all left over building materials to storage in building (ceiling tile, floor tile, paint and other stuff that can’t freeze) or in storage shed (lumber, doors, trim, etc.)

—        Consolidate all carpet remnants to west addition, outside life center.  We still need to utilize remnants for moving lift in Life Center for a handful of repair projects and installation.  Eventually carpet remnants to be saved can be wrapped plastic and store in Life Center.  Some pieces might be used to recarpet sacristy and other locations.

—        Remove old sound system items from Life Center (store on sound cart if possible until plan is developed to reuse of sell off unneeded/obsolete equipment) Old mixer board can be set in choir loft

—        Vacuum all carpets

—        Wipe down walls with microfiber towels in west addition to remove remaining dust
